Important: Changes to ordering Prescriptions
From October 1st Hatfield Health Centre will take prescriptions orders in the following ways:
- Using the NHS App. Register for the NHS app here.
- Written – paper requests preferably using the prescription counterfoil put in the prescription letter box, in or outside of the surgery
We will stop taking repeat prescriptions over the ‘phone.
Why do we think it will be better for patients?
It is usually safer and more accurate to have a written record of the prescription request than someone writing down what has been said to them, given the complex names of some medications.
We now live in a world online services are widely used for shopping, banking, travel, entertainment and other services. We do realise that there will be some patients who don’t have access to the technology required for on-line services and if that is the case, please speak to our receptionists.
Contact us Online
You can contact us about a medical, administrative or prescription issue by clicking: Contact us online
The short online form is the quickest and simplest way for the majority of patients to access our clinical team for assistance. Our practice phone lines remain open for anyone with accessibility needs who might find it difficult completing this form.
Please do not use this online form for urgent or emergency requests. The submitted forms will only be read during Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm. They will not be read on the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) or on bank holidays.
Please contact 111 during out of hours or 999 if this is an emergency.
